NovetusIndex is a community-run master server and server list for Novetus.
We respect your privacy and aim to collect as little data as possible.
1. What information we collect
Server listings
When a server is listed on NovetusIndex, we may temporarily store:
- Server name
- Server address (IP or domain)
- Port
- Client version
- Timestamp of last activity
This information is required to display servers on the public server list.
Tunnel service
If you use the NovetusIndex tunnel service, we may store:
- A randomly generated tunnel token
- Tunnel port and local port
- Temporary internal connection data (for routing)
Tunnel tokens automatically expire after 24 hours.
Email verification (for managing tunnels)
If you choose to use email verification to create/manage tunnels, we may store:
- Your email address
- Verification codes (temporary)
- A temporary session token (to show and manage your tunnels)
We only use your email for verification and tunnel management. We do not use it for marketing.
Technical logs
For security and debugging purposes, we may temporarily log:
- IP addresses making requests to the service
- Request timestamps
- Error information
These logs are not used for tracking and are not shared with third parties.
2. What we do NOT collect
We do not collect:
- User accounts or usernames (outside of server listing names)
- Passwords
- Payment information
- Personal identifiers beyond what is described above
- Analytics profiles tied to individuals
3. Data retention
- Information about server listings get removed when the server gets closed/deleted.
- Tunnel tokens automatically expire after 24 hours
- Email verification codes expire after a short period (10 minutes)
- Email session tokens expire after a limited time.
- Old server history may be stored only for basic listing history display (ONLY SERVER NAME AND CLIENT)
- Logs are retained only as long as necessary for maintenance and security
4. Cookies & third-party services
NovetusIndex may display advertisements provided by third-party ad networks (such as Google AdSense).
Third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies.
We do not control how third-party services collect or use data.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties, except:
- When required by law
- To protect the service from abuse or attacks
- To operate necessary infrastructure (example: email delivery provider for verification emails)
6. Your choices
- You can use NovetusIndex server browsing without email verification.
- Email verification is only required for tunnel creation/management (if enabled).
- If you want us to remove your tunnel-management email data, contact us (see section 8).
7. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the service changes.
Any updates will be posted on this page.
