← Back to NovetusIndex

Server Checks

If your server is not reachable by us, we will show "🔴" next to your server.
If your server hasn't been delisted yet and it's been offline for over 1 hour, a delete button will appear publicly next to your server.

Compatibility

Use the latest stable or snapshot version of Novetus.
Some custom Novetus launchers might not work with NovetusIndex, if it doesn't work, use official launcher.

✔ EASIEST – Host using your public IP

Host using your public IP.
Fastest method, but exposes your public IP.

Before we start, you need to either use UPnP (if your Wi-Fi router supports it) or Port Forward. There are many tutorials online on how to port forward — search for one for your router.

  1. Open Novetus, choose client and a map
  2. Go to the Host tab
  3. Type in the port you want to host on
  4. Type a server name (for example: Home Of Robloxia)
  5. Put NovetusIndex.com in the “Browser Master Server” box
  6. Click Start Server

Now your server should appear on the NovetusIndex server list!
Join your server through the list to test if you port forwarded correctly.

🛡️ SAFEST – Host using our tunnel software

This tunnels your server through our network before reaching players.
Doesn't need UPnP or Port Forwarding!

How to get a token:

  1. Click the “Create Tunnel” button on the website
  2. Type in the Novetus port you want to use to host (Default: 53640)
  3. You will now get a token

PLEASE NOTE:
Tokens expire after 24 hours. (Unless you use Auto Renew)
You can create a maximum of 2 tokens at a time.

How to set up the tunnel software:

  1. Download NovetusIndex (64 bit: https://novetusindex.com/download64)
  2. Open it and type in your token
  3. You will now get a public address and a public IP

In Novetus, people can type either the server address or IP provided by the software in the “Play” tab, and join your server.

To correctly list your server:

  1. Click the “IP/Domain Key” button on the homepage of NovetusIndex
  2. Type in a server name, the public IP from the tunnel software, and the public port
  3. Click Generate
  4. You will now get a custom server name
  5. Open Novetus and go to the Host tab
  6. Type in the LOCAL port (the one you used for the token)
  7. Put in the custom server name
  8. Put NovetusIndex.com in the Browser Master Server box
  9. Click Start Server

Your server will now appear on the server list without exposing your IP ✔

⚠ ADVANCED – Host using your own custom IP or domain

Only for advanced users who know what they are doing.

  1. Click the “IP/Domain Key" button
  2. Put in your server details and click Generate
  3. You will now get a custom server name
  4. Open Novetus
  5. Go to the Host tab
  6. Put in the custom server name
  7. Put NovetusIndex.com in the Master Server Browser box
  8. Click Start Server

If you made a domain key, your server will only show up on the website.
If you made an IP key, your server will show up on both website and Novetus Server Browser.
